The Business Development Officer (BDO) will be responsible for developing strategies for originating and obtaining SBA approval for sufficient number of 504 loans to reach Coastal Community Capital benchmarks by marketing the 504 loan program, working with banks, civic and community organizations, commercial real estate brokers, business brokers, business/professional associations, accountants, lawyers, and other resource partners in order to develop and foster relationships, referral sources to solicit SBA loan opportunities. The BDO will also be responsible for originating and obtaining approval of other Coastal loan products, including direct lends. The BDO will work with customers to structure loan proposals, complete initial underwriting and prepare credit package. Responsible for the sales life cycle, including lead generation and sourcing, loan policies and structure, product knowledge and financial analysis. In addition, the BDO will assist in the servicing of the portfolio and will participate in loan review and work-out efforts. This BDO will be responsible for maintaining current knowledge about all of Coastal’s loan products.
